Sports Statistics Databases

I'm looking for databases of sports statistics (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB) including typical gambling odds and outcomes that I could use to develop a personal system for offline analysis.

I'm will to pay money for high quality data sources, but would prefer alternatives.

The alternative I am considering right now is to create a bunch of custom web scaping software to collate data from various sources (NFL.com, Yahoo-Sports etc). This is a bit of work that I would like to avoid.

Covers.com has a lot of that information. If you go to the sport, click on scores and matchups. You can go back a few years (more for the more popular sports), but the stats are separated by team. You have to click on each team and then each year in order to copy/paste them (no easy way to do a web query in excel that I know of). But it will at least give you your information (although you have to play around with it to separate scores and do other useful things).
